Added 2 new ceiling fans, a new lamp, and 2 antique lights. They did a great job, professional, cleaned up, and very helpful. Thanks!
Very courteous, knowledgeable and clean. Walked me through any questions I had about the process, function or maintainance of the quiet cool product. Definitely would recommend them if you are looking to install one of these to help cool your home.
The job was done efficiently and the results were as expected.
Plumbing crew work was well done, respectfully, and explained what was occurring as they did things. Administratively, the office needs to work on the timing of jobs a little better as there was a delay due to earlier jobs running late. But the on-site guys were great!
Great service.! Adjustment on lever was completed. Improved flushing!
Technician was polite and professional
These guys were fast, efficient, polite and easy to work with.
Rolando is very honest and professional.
Greg was a wonderful tech he always put protection on his shoes for my floors he was very polite he knew what he was doing he took care to see that the paint was not shipped off of the covers for the electric panel when he saw problem he could tell me exactly what it was very nice gentleman He represent your company well The young woman in the office Bree is bright articulate and shows a sincere interest in making things work not only for the client She takes into consideration what my concerns are and then dovetailed it into the work schedule
I was disappointed that I requested both a plumbing and electrical specialist be on site for the quote (and was told that one specialist would be there to cover both), but once on site I only recieved a plumbing quote and had to reschedule to plan for an electrician to come on site. I was also disappointed in the way that prices changed (were lowered) as our conversation progressed. I did not feel confident that I was getting the best price availiable, as it kept changing.
Response from Point Loma Electric and Plumbing:
We are very sorry that we were unable to send both an electrician and a plumber to your home at the same time. Unfortunately, the scope of electrical work you required was something that required a senior electrician to see in order to provide an estimate and we did schedule that. According to our records, we quoted you pricing for different options which included you taking care of the preparation work in order to lower the cost. We apologize if there was any confusion, however according to our notes the lower prices didn't include the same scope of work. Thank you for the opportunity to be of service. We are sorry to learn that we didn't meet you expectations.
Service team good.
Robert was knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. He was diligent in changing all three bathroom pipes. We highly recommend his work!
Excellent service. Direct with no run around. Answered all my questions with simple, understandable information.
Solved our problem within minutes.
Robert and Ernie thoroughly investigated the issue and determined the solution.
Great service, both sales and installers.
Greg solved the problem in a pinch. We thought it was something complicated and expensive. He was pleasant and polite and educational.
Great job on short notice and suggested we watch a few other problems.
No drywall patching required to add new outlets! They were done perfectly the first time.
Would definitely recommend Pt. Loma Electric again. Office employees helpful, friendly & accomodating when we need to alter our service time a bit. And service rep Charlie is terrific! He has worked at our property before & he not only knows his craft, but worked in a dedicated fashion too. Respectful, helpful and informative. Provided us with written quotes for various projects we are considering. Really appreciate the 'no charge' consultations this time!
The team was very good and knowledgeable. I would happily have them back to do more work.
My experiences with electricians and renovating two condos over the past ten years have ranged from satisfactory to awful. (One with good reviews that I got on Yelp because they inexpensive "forgot" to cap live wires in my attic, My ceiling fan installer discovered them! Scary!) When I had an issue with a circuit breaker earlier this year, and another issue with my A/C thermostat this last weekend, I called Pt. Loma Electric. Both technicians were competent, knowledgeable, and they left no messes. Charlie Holt who was here on Saturday was courteous, knowledgeable and he patiently answered all my questions. I was impressed with his professionalism! Pt. Loma Electric seems to value integrity and hire quality workers! I am completely satisfied with their work and will continue to use and recommend them. Also, they have good specials periodically and I was able to use a $40 off coupon they had emailed me!
I have a 1900 sq ft house. Initial estimate for a whole house fan was $3025. That was for the Stealth Pro series, 5.5, rated for homes up to 2530 sq ft. What was ultimately installed was the Trident Pro, 4.8, for homes up to 2220 sq ft. After I produced an ad from a competitor, you matched that price - $1695. Presumably, the installation cost is roughly the same regardless of model, so the $1300+ difference must be attributable to the cost of the fans. I don't know what your cost is for the professional lines, but the difference between the Quiet Cool Energy saver 5400 ($1249) and the QC Classic 4700 ($1008) at Home Depot is less than $250. I'd have been a chump to sign up for your original estimate. You have not earned my trust.
Response from Point Loma Electric and Plumbing:
Thank you for sharing your concerns. Yes indeed there is a significant cost difference between a Stealth 5.5 PRO and a Trident 4.8. Both the size is more expensive and the model. The coupon you produced and requested that we match did not specify any model whatsover, nor did anyone provide you with an actual estimate that included a model. The actual cost of a Trident 4.8 installed is usually about $500 more than what you paid. We agreed to install it at that price only because we had one in stock that we had recieved at a discount from the manufacturer as a co-op for our advertising. We were trying to accommodate your request to price match for a product that was not even identified in an advertisement. I am sorry to hear that us giving you a large discount was a cause for mistrust. Our goal was to be helpful and to get you a great deal. That coupon was most likely for a Trident 3.3 but since it was just a coupon with no model and no one came out to your house other than us to give you a quote we don’t really know for sure. It is very hot and I am sure you will enjoy your new Quiet Cool Whole House fan which you purchasd and had installed at a very deep discount. Sincerely, Jamie Dent, Owner Point Loma Electric and Plumbing.
Our breaker went out on 100+ degree weather. We were referred to Point Loma Electric. Charlie made it out to our house and did a great job.
Robert was polite, thorough, conscientious (for example-keeping front door closed because it was over 100 degrees), explained everything he was doing, discussed options. Thank you.
The technicians Robert and Aaron were great and attentive. Low rating for convenience is for not having hot water/appliances for 7 days when management told me it would take 1-2 days for completion.
Very professional & thorough job done with our house re-wiring...Greg is excellent at his profession.
Robert came to the house on Wednesday to clear a clogged tub drain. He diagnosed that the main line needed to be replaced, which was a pretty big job. He negotiated the member price for me and they scheduled the replacement for Friday morning. I wish that I had gotten a better estimate of the start time so I ended up waiting about an hour past the scheduled start window. Once the job began they worked quickly and efficiently. They took time to update me on the progress and show me the clogged pipe. They did a good job cleaning up. Overall I was happy with the experience, my only request is that next time the office gives me a call if the show time will be delayed.
Response from Point Loma Electric and Plumbing:
Thank you for your feedback. Your time is valuable and we sincerely apologize for the delay. We normally call and let people know if we are running late (which can happen a lot in the service world) . We apologize for not calling and appreciate your business and you taking the time to leave us a review. Best Regards, Team PLE&P
Frankie and Christian did a wonderful job! Extremely polite knowledge and hard working! Scott kept me updated and explained everything! Would defiantly recommend them and use them again!
David did a great job listening to my problem and then addressing it.
